Bevan was a tenor, organist and composer. As a youngster, he sang with the Bevan Family Choir which toured widely. He studied at Queen’s College Oxford and became Assistant Master of Music at Westminster Cathedral. After a period in America, he sang with several choirs in England and directed the music at the Church of Our Holy Redeemer for 36 years.
