As is customary at LMS AGM weekends, we are planning a day of music making followed by an informal orchestral concert to take place at our new home in Victoria Halls, Bolton. Conductor Howard Rogerson will be choosing a most enjoyable programme and the orchestra will be led by Matthew Chadbond. Spaces are now available to come and join us on the 1st of October.
The day will begin at 10.00 and finish at 6.00.
The Lunch Break will be from 12.30-1.00. There will be a speedy AGM at 1.00, after which playing will recommence.
The informal concert will run from 5.00 to 6.00.
Join us to explore some of the vast repertoire from the Library of Light Orchestral Music!
Standard requirement for players is grade 6 above as stipulated by our conductor Howard Rogerson.
Cost of attendance of the day is £20. Audience for the concert is welcome for a suggested donation of £10 to the Society.
This will be followed by a Light Music Society dinner, for which the venue has yet to be confirmed. All details will be available by email and on our website ASAP, please contact us for more info.
