David was a long-time supporter of Light Music and a member of the Light Music Society, both in his capacity as Treasurer of member group Settle Orchestra and in his own right. Music was one of David’s great interests in life and he was well-known in the Craven area of North Yorkshire for his support of various local music groups. He was also a loyal supporter of the Promenade Concert Orchestra of Morecambe and was the PCO’s official reviewer for many years. His presence at Light Music events will be sorely missed.
