JOHN BOYDEN (1936–2021)

Boyden was a trumpet player with London orchestras and for a few months was Managing Director of the LSO. Later (1992) he revived the New Queen’s Hall Orchestra. He is perhaps best known as head of the budget LP label Classics for Pleasure (4 million discs sold in four years).
