OLIVER DAVIES (1938 – 2020)

London-born pianist OIiver Davies has died aged 81. He was a fine performer in concert halls, on radio and on record, most notably playing Messaien and (on records) accompanying flautist James Galway and clarinettists Thea King and Colin Bradbury. Educated at the RCM, he also taught and was a famed musicologist, helping found the Museum of Musical History.
