Schubert: Symphony No. 3 in D
Conductor wind sectionals: Laurence Perkins

Four wonderful days in a beautiful setting, playing two great masterpieces from the chamber orchestra repertoire - Mendelssohn's powerfully evocative 'Hebrides' overture (sometimes known as 'Fingal's Cave'), and Schubert's melodic and youthfully sunny 3rd symphony.
Laurence Perkins will share more than 40 years of chamber orchestra experience in his orchestral conducting and wind sectional rehearsals, and Caroline Pether (leader of the Zelkova String Quartet, and co-leader of Manchester Camerata) will lead the orchestra and provide inspirational guidance in the string sectionals. The course will end with an informal free-admission concert performance of both works, for friends and the general public.
Venue: Hackwood College, Stroud
